Meet Our Chef

Derren brings over 20 years of professional kitchen experience to Front Range Fresh. After earning his culinary degree from the Colorado Institute of Art, he spent two decades cooking across Colorado — from fast-paced restaurants to large-scale catering — honing his craft and building a deep understanding of what makes a meal both practical and memorable.

He’s known for his straightforward, flavor-first approach to cooking. Derren focuses on making food that’s not just good, but dependable — dishes that work for real life, without shortcuts. He’s also the mind behind our weekly menus, building thoughtful combinations that maximize ingredients and minimize waste, while still keeping things fresh and flexible.

Outside the kitchen, Derren is a dad, a husband, and a fan of any meal that brings people together without a lot of fuss.
